Immaculate property with lovely attention to detail and some thoughtful welcoming gifts. It is well equipped and spotlessly clean we will definitely return next year. Tideswell didn’t disappoint it is a very nice town , with lots of places to eat and drink. Some great walks on the doorstop so the car can be parked up and left until it is time go home. Dog Friendly too which is a bonus.

Julie’s Airbnb was immaculate in presentation and meticulously clean. It was superbly equipped, beautifully designed and well thought through. The location is superb with everything on your doorstep- shops, cafes, Italian, pubs etc. It would be hard to find a better location from which to explore Derbyshire. We enjoyed many fantastic walks- a couple from the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would whole heartedly recommend TOTS.

A fantastic Airbnb home and an amazing host in Julie. Everything from the booking to checkout was amazing. Julie was super helpful and the home was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed. It was clear that meticulous planning has gone into every single item and area in the house from the welcome goodies to all the facilities which were too many to name. Everything in the house is pristine and high end with the most comprehensive help guide you will find. The fire was amazing and all amenities were clean and excellent. This is a true Airbnb luxe property located in a very convenient place to visit the Peak District. We were a family of 4 with a small dog with everything being perfect for us, the only shame is that we don’t drink coffee and didn’t get to use the coffee maker! Very highly recommended Airbnb property

The Old Toffee Shop (TOTS) is an upgrade from the norm and Julie is an extremely helpful host. TOTS is beautifully designed and decorated, with first class fixtures & fittings and the best coffee machine you will ever use. There was a lovely welcome pack so you can have a rest with refreshments after a long journey up. Everything that you could want or need is there and if you do forget anything then there is a village shop just down the road. We have a cavapoo that loved her stay and the warm water indoor cleaning station was a godsend for cleaning mucky paws before going back into the cottage. TOTS is perfectly situated for walks & days out and there are some great pubs walkable from the cottage. A stay at TOTS is highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Just been here for a weekend break with friends. Wow!!! The hosts have thought of everything. House is spotless. Abundance of crockery, cutlery and other utensils you may need. Lovely extra special touches that made us feel welcome and brought a smile to our faces. Lots of information about area in the welcome information. This is somewhere you could go for a weekend, a week or for longer AND it would be perfect at any time of year. What a fabulous find! What fabulous hosts! Definitely going to be returning.

The Old Toffee Shop is completely perfect. I visited with my husband and 2 small boys and we all loved it. The cottage is spotlessly clean and had all of the amenities and home comforts you need. The log burner was fabulous for cosy evenings when we visited during Storm Eunice! Tideswell is a beautiful village with some really outstanding places to eat - we loved The Merchants Yard and High Nellys and would really recommend both. In summary - a fabulous cottage in a gorgeous village!

We had a fantastic time in Tideswell, staying at Julie and Nigel's wonderful cottage. Our 11 year old son - a huge fan of home renovation programmes and a discerning critic of all things interior (!) - thought that the house was superb in every way: the glossy kitchen, the calming colours and the soft throws and fabrics. We all agreed with him - it felt like we were staying in a luxurious hotel suite but with the independence of self-catering. The village itself has everything that you need to make your stay easy and comfortable: a couple of good pubs, cafes for breakfast or lunch and a handy shop. The area around Tideswell offers lots of things to do and we were busy every day, despite the variable weather. There are many beautiful walks in close proximity, whether you want to wander by the river - our favourite type of walk - or climb into the hills around; cycling the Monsal Trail was also something that we really enjoyed. Thank you, Julie and Nigel, for a fabulous break!

This idyllic quaint cottage is perfectly beautiful in every way. The styling at TOTS throughout is stunning with lots of attention to detail and care making it warm and cosey. It is furnished at a very high standard with lots of thought gone into decor and colour themes including the added little touches like the blankets, lighting, fire, holiday dog lead, dressing gowns and muddy boot basket and room. We even messaged the owners for paint colours and where the contents were from! On arrival we got 2 bottles of wine and a surprise lemon drizzle cake delivered from the village bakery. You know it’s a good cottage when this happens. The cottage is immaculately clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 6 plus a dog. Tideswell brought us beautiful country walks, pubs and lovely food. We enjoyed a meal at the bulls head and merchants which I would highly recommend. Julie and Nigel made it so attentively enjoyable and were in contact making sure our stay was first clas and relaxing, we can’t thank them enough. I’ve stayed in many cottages but this one I would highly recommend to stay at. I will be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful 3 nights seeing the new year in with family.

The old toffee shop is stunning, this beautiful home provides luxury and a real homely feel. We felt like we had booked into five star accommodation, nothing has been overlooked to make your stay perfect, the interior design is amazing (and the coffee machine is awesome) We booked last minute for a short break and it was perfect. A family of 4 and the fur baby enjoyed long walks and cozy nights in Tideswell. The village offers everything you need on the back drop of the beautiful Peak District. The old toffee shop has been lovingly restored with a real touch of luxury. We could not have hoped for a more perfect place for our short break and would recommend it hands down. Perfect is the word!! Situated a stones throw from the shops and pub, everything about this cottage is fantastic. Beautifully renovated, amazing beds, awesome shower, brilliant kitchen, literally every home comfort is provided. Even down to a fabulous cake from the Cherry Tree Bakery - ours was Lemon Drizzle (so yummy!), and was perfect with a coffee from the beans to cup machine in the kitchen. We really didn't want to leave. A true hidden gem of a holiday cottage!

This former sweet shop has been turned into a superb holiday retreat. Situated in the heart of the village with very friendly residents. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard and has everything you need even including a doggy shower in the boot room. A lemon drizzle cake and drinks awaited our arrival, so we were soon sat in front of the log burner. The bean to cup coffee machine was hard to leave alone and even managed a brief hour in the courtyard on a deckchair in the April sunshine. You do not need to be keen walkers/cyclist to enjoy this area everyone and dogs are most welcome. We stayed as a family of 4 (2Adults+2Children(17&13) and the dog but there was plenty of room for us all. We never go back to the same place again! But you never know we may well do this time ;-)
